Copepods are planktonic crustaceans (500-800 micron) harvested in brackish water in early spring, nutritionally screened on high levels of essential HUFA, and treated to guarantee biosecurity. They are the most natural food source for fish and shrimp larvae and are ideal to co-feed with artificial diets.
The use of Ocean Aquaculture’s copepods can easily be implemented into existing feeding protocols and can replace up to 50% of Artemia nauplii in larval shrimp and fish production.
